The mixing trough pan and mixing trough sides are equipped with exchangeable wear liners. These liners are made of steel or of ni-hard castings, to suit the application for which the mixer will be used. The optimum filling level means no superfluous turbulence in the mix and less wear on the liners.
The mixing shafts, which run in roller-bearings on the front, are equipped with steel mixing arms that are highly resistant to wear and can be exchanged.
These mixing arms are attached to the mixing shafts by special, round hubs.
These prevent deposits from baking onto them. The mixing arms are equipped with mixing paddles made of special hardened chrome-nickel castings, which are easy to exchange
Models TDZ 1500 to TDZ 1875 have one squirrel-cage motor, each with separate thermal overload protection. The mixer shafts are driven via V-belts. A crank-shaft ensures the two mixer shafts run synchronous. The mixer shaft bearings are maintenance free, due to an automatic cental lubrication system.
A compact hydraulic unit is used for discharge, with a hand pump for emergencies installed on the mixer.
A hydraulic rotating piston cylinder powers the discharge. This piston cylinder is located between the two mixing shafts and is parallel to them, in the mixer trough. The segmental discharge gate is large and can be opened to any degree required, via an inductive switch, depending on the quantity to be discharged. In an emergency the gate can be opened with a hand pump or via a hydraulic power unit, without the mixer having to run.
The protective overall cover is used to ensure that the mixer chamber is largely dust-proof. Material inlets are mounted in the area between the mixing shafts. On both sides of the cover there are large openings for cleaning and maintenance. Special covers can be supplied to meet particular design requirements.
Different kinds of skip hoist are available, to match your installation’s design. These include tilting skip hoists and non-tilting, bottom discharge type skip hoists. The skip hoist assembly can be installed on the mixer or separately, with a skip hoist track inclination between 45° and 90°.
